Mission Statement

"Every member of St. Gregory’s Catholic High School will work together in solidarity for the common good of our diverse community. We have no better inspiration than the teaching of Jesus Christ.

We believe every person is unique and made in the image of God and should be treated justly with dignity, love and respect.

We will follow Jesus by embracing our God given charisms to carry out our mission to serve.

We are one family inspired to learn

‘Pupils embrace the demands that membership of the school community expects. In their own words, this is because mission is, “about who we are and why we are here, and the values we share.’ (Section 48 Catholic Inspection, 2019)

The clear yet profound justification for a Catholic education, and for a Catholic school as a separate entity, is to be found in the Catholic faith.  The Catholic school seeks its definition in the Gospels and the example and teachings of Christ.  It is from this foundation that St. Gregory’s faces the cultural conditions and challenges of contemporary society.

‘The extent to which the pupils contribute to and benefit from the Catholic Life of the school is outstanding.’ (Section 48 Catholic Inspection, 2019)

The Catholic ethos of St Gregory’s is at the centre of all we do as a school community, and following the teachings of Christ through daily worship, we aim to create a vibrant and inclusive community where all members are valued.

‘Pupils are at home in this school because its Catholic Life is fully inclusive of all ranges of beliefs and views.’ (Section 48 Catholic Inspection, 2019)
