Welcome from the Headteacher
Thank you for taking the time to view our school website, a window into the everyday life and community of St. Gregory’s Catholic High School. As the head teacher, I am immensely proud to lead a successful school where we have created a wonderful family atmosphere, the whole child is valued and the balance between academic success and the development of being a good person is of equal importance.
Our school vision is to be ‘One Family Inspired to Learn’. This is underpinned by our Catholic social principles of working for ‘the common good’, treating everyone with ‘dignity’, coming together in ‘solidarity’ and ensuring everyone has a say in shaping our school through our commitment to ‘subsidiarity’.
We have no better role model than Jesus Christ to help us achieve our vision.
We encourage our young people to shine as individuals but to recognise the strength of working together as one to be even stronger.
The strength of our school community is the partnerships between our hard working and talented staff, our parents, our parishes, our governing board and of course, our incredible young people.
St Gregory's is a Catholic School for all. We are proud to welcome children, not only from our six Catholic partner schools, but also from CofE and community schools totalling over 30 different primary schools across Warrington.
The pupils of St Gregory’s are sought after by all of the top colleges, universities and employers, not only due to their academic success but predominantly for the well-rounded individuals that they become and the positive service they will undoubtedly contribute to society.
We welcome you to be a part of our journey, whether you are a new pupil, current pupil, parent or visitor to our school ‘family’.
See you soon,
Ed McGlinchey BSc, NPQH, NPQEL
